Astrological forecast for December 2022
At the end of 2022, first a look back….
Although the historic Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn of early 2020 is behind us, the social, economic and political dust has not settled yet.
In 2022 it became clear that the old world of capitalism and oppression continues to crumble and a more just and technologically advanced world is being built.
From January 18, 2022, the Nodes, our collective destiny, shifted to the financial Taurus/Scorpio axis and with a new series of eclipses on this axis, the year 2022 became the year of revelations, sudden changes and transience in relation to the things we value.
Nothing is forever, nothing stays the same.
The North Node was conjunct reformer Uranus in Taurus on August 1st 2022 and this only happens once every 15 years…. We can say that in the second half of 2022, this shift of energy, supported by the powerful drive of Jupiter in Aries, has given us a glimpse into what the future holds.
We started 2022 with retrograde Venus and will end 2022 with retrograde Mars to review and reassess the path of tolerance and compassion on our way to what’s to come.
Except for retrograde Uranus in Taurus and Mars in Gemini, all planets follow their direct orbits around the Sun in December 2022. Only Mercury in Capricorn will go retrograde from December 29, 2022, but throughout December 2022, we will have to take into account the annoying and delaying pre-shadow period of this retrograde Mercury.
Red warrior Mars will remain retrograde until January 11, 2023, so the regressive inward power of Mars will remain evident throughout December 2022.
When Mars is in retrograde it is always: two steps forward, three steps back.
December 2022 will be all about cleaning up with the past and resolving disputes from the past. More heads will roll as the plutonic cesspool opens even further. No stone is left unturned.
Mars retrograde in Gemini brings strikes, power cuts, revelations, delays and shortages in everything related to transport and supply such as aviation, the automotive industry, public transport, shipping, media, telephone traffic and the internet.
At the beginning and end of December 2022, we must also take into account war rhetoric, muscle flexing or other displays of power and threats of terror or military intervention.
Back to December 2022…..
On December 1, 2022, Venus in Sagittarius is at 18º in exact opposition to retrograde Mars in Gemini. The feminine principle versus the masculine principle leads to issues in male/female relationships and relationships in general, including family relationships between parents and children, but also specifies the relationship you have with yourself.
A great need for personal freedom can put a strain on relationships. With this challenging aspect,
relationships formed at the beginning of December 2022 have little future prospects.
After a long retrograde period, Neptune in Pisces, planet of spirituality, transcendence, illusion and mystery, resumes its direct orbit around the Sun from December 4, 2022. It feels like we are being offered another chance to make up for lost time or to turn things around for the better, creating room for growth and creative ideas to realize dreams. This powerful energy brings intuition, love, enchantment and inspiration, but can also be misleading in the sense of an unprecedented increase in addictions and confused people trying to escape the reality of the day. Especially in this time we should try to follow the path of universal love by letting the heart speak. Neptune will remain in Pisces until the end of January 2026.
The period around December 6, 2022 is very suitable for completing projects, settling conflicts or making transactions.
From December 7, 2022, Mercury travels through Capricorn. In Capricorn, Mercury wants to be constructive and creative and not waste energy and time on useless things. The period after December 7, 2022 is suitable for organization, mental activity, productivity, family budget recalculations or plans for larger purchases. Mercury in Capricorn puts things into perspective and supports us to manifest dreams on the earthly plane. Mercury in Capricorn will go retrograde from December 29, 2022 and will therefore remain in Capricorn until February 11, 2023!
